In answer to your questions, nope! that’s all I do with the black! I use Krylon Fusion matt black paint. The secret is to do a couple of thin srpay coats instead of one thick one, not only will this get into all the fiddly bits, but it gives you a good solid base to work from. I recently switched to Duplicolor Sandible primer (available from all auto stores) which I recommend as well. The final picture may look darker because of the lighting I think?

I really like how your guys came out, as opposed to others where the black seems to be shiny and covers up a lot of the details.
I have a few questions though, first off, which Fusion color do you use for your basecoat? Secondly, after the basecoat is applied and touched up, do you do anything else it? Because it looks a good bit blacker in the final picture.

Crusader is busy, writing 2 new songs at the moment, shows already set up for January and tentatively heading back in the studio to record the full length in Febuary.

Everything has been going really well for me, thanks for asking. :-) Just been keeping busy so I haven’t had a lot of time for gaming or painting. Life’s been great though. A few months ago my wife and I decided that for our next child we wanted to adopt, so getting ready for that has been a big focus lately. Showing off my hobby room and trying to explain Warhammer to the social worker during our home-study was as fun as you would imagine. ;-) Also because of the adoption it now looks like I won’t make it to Adepticon this spring, but I’m still optimistic about getting back to Chicago sometime soon.
